Superintendent - High-end Residential &amp; CommercialCompany: JLV ConstructionLocation: New OrleansJob type: Full-time, W-2 employee&nbsp;Salary: $60,000-$70,000 per year Company OverviewAt JLV Construction, we don't just deliver projects,&nbsp;we build lasting spaces that enrich how our clients live and work.As a recognized builder in the region, we're expanding our team and looking for a Superintendent to lead the day-to-day execution of high-end residential and commercial projects.The Superintendent serves as the on-site leader, owning schedule, quality, safety, and subcontractor coordination.&nbsp;Working closely with the Project Manager, this role ensures projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to JLV's standards of craftsmanship. Bottom line: if it happens on the jobsite, the Superintendent is accountable.Key ResponsibilitiesField Operations &amp; Safety<ul><li>Serve as the on-site point person for all construction activities</li><li>Ensure all jobsite activities are executed safely and in compliance with JLV standards and policies at all times</li><li>Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, code, and company quality standards.</li><li>Maintain daily jobsite cleanliness and organization.</li><li>Coordinate site logistics, including material deliveries, staging, and dumpster placement and replacement.</li></ul>Materials &amp; Site Management<ul><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite at all times.</li><li>Ensure proper storage, protection, and handling of materials on site.</li><li>Monitor materials to prevent waste, damage, or loss.</li><li>Verify materials and finishes installed match approved plans and selections.</li></ul>Coordination &amp; Communication<ul><li>Communicate regularly with the Project Manager on progress, issues, and next steps.</li><li>Host daily on-site huddles with subcontractors to align all field parties.</li><li>Lead coordination and scheduling between subcontractors, vendors and labor force.</li><li>Complete daily job logs with photos and provide field updates through the company's construction management platform.</li><li>Track and report daily performance against company metrics and KPIs</li></ul>Leadership &amp; Accountability<ul><li>Lead, motivate, and support field teams while promoting a "can-do" culture.</li><li>Identify risks and challenges early and implement proactive, practical solutions.</li><li>Share accountability for overall project execution and departmental results.</li><li>Participate in daily training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Core Competencies<ul><li>5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Project Manager in luxury or high-end residential construction</li><li>Strong construction knowledge, including sequencing and trade coordination.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.</li><li>Solid understanding of safety requirements and jobsite precautions.</li><li>Proficient with technology, including smartphone apps, digital reporting tools and project management platforms.
